On 13th November 2008, the Member Support team had a winnings cheque of £1,811 returned. This is not the first time that a cheque has been returned as “no longer at this address” – in fact, it happens several times a month.

In e-lottery, we take away the stresses of having to find your ticket, check your numbers, and keep your ticket safe should you win. We make sure that all of our members receive 100% of their share of a prize. In order for us to do this, though, we need to have your correct and current details.

The Player had moved house and forgotten to let us know of the change. Thankfully, they had included a mobile phone number in their membership details and so we have managed to get in contact with this lucky person - they’ll now receive their cheque!

Moral of the story? Make sure you check your winnings and let us know if you move house! Please, log in to your back office NOW to check that all your details are correct (just go to the My Details tab). Maybe you could suggest that your team reads this too, so that they can update their details – just pass on this link or direct them to the News section.

Over the last two years our Portuguese-speaking groups have progressed so much, with five times the number of active members than in June 2006, so we felt it was the right time to translate the back office into their own language. This is not only good news for all Portuguese speakers, but also for everyone else – this new language makes YOUR business even more global.

To convert your guest link to Portuguese, simply log in to your Back Office and go to Tools, then Page Links. Then, select “Direct Link to Guest Page” as the description, and select Portuguese from the language drop-down list. Click on the URL button, and the text shown in the box will be your Portuguese guest link!

To have a look around this newly translated back office, go to your e-lottery guest site and click on the Portuguese flag, and log in as normal.

The back office has ready-made translated tools, including genealogy, prospector, business cards, flyers and squeeze pages.

Please pass this information on to any Portuguese-speaking members that you may have.

As you may have already heard, Independent Affiliate and Senior Director Malcolm Horsey has recently hosted two e-lottery training events. The first one was in North London and the second was near Manchester. Now it’s Birmingham’s turn!
On Sunday 2nd November 2008 Malcolm will be at the Holiday Inn to deliver his “how to” training. Everyone who attends will also get to hear from Eric Avery, Head of Development and Support, as he shows highlights from the new DVD and pages from the new website. Be sure you bring as many team members as possible so they too can feel the excitement and be among the FIRST to watch the new e-lottery movie. This really is a must-attend event!

In this Independent Affiliate web conference, Group Director Paul e Watts talks for about 25 minutes on building an email contact list. He shares some great ideas on what to do, what not to do and how to stay legal. Paul also talks about setting up your own “squeeze pages” to capture that all important data.

Why should you listen to Paul?  Well just for starters… Paul is one of the most respected and successful e-lottery members we have and he is a great speaker too! If you can do just some of what Paul does, you will be doing very well indeed. Click on this link to hear the recording.

He said “I attended the e-lottery meeting on Sunday in Essex, it was a 240 mile round trip for me to make it to the 3 hour meeting, but very much worth the effort.  As usual Malcolm and Eric were on top form… what I saw at the meeting looks superb. There is no reason why anyone now can’t explode their e-lottery business into 2009, and get their own slice of the Global Revenue Share.”

You may remember a previous story about e-lottery Affiliate John Dorries, his partner, Player Wendy Richards, and Player Stuart Looker, who together with Stuart’s wife Alison hosted an e-lottery stand at the Monster Mania Truck Show. Well, on the 27th and 28th September they also set up a stall at the Kent County Showground for the 0-5 Show, an event for children up to the age of 5 and their parents.

John said, “We spoke to a wide variety of people, making them aware that there was a ‘Smarter Way to Play’ the lottery. We handed out lots of marketing material, and the number of contacts we made at this event was more than double those we made at the Monster Mania event. All in all, it was a very successful weekend!”
